Building in public · Cairo, Egypt

I'm learning every skill
it takes to build
a startup — one at a time.

I'm Ahmed. Computer engineer, powerlifter, and now Head of Content at YOZO. I ship real things in public and keep score honestly — no guru stuff, just the work and what it taught me.

  • 5apps shipped
  • 1new day job
  • 250+people led

The KWIN file Public-record investigation · 2014–2026

Featured investigation

A company owned
part of its owner.

KWIN controlled 51.22% of private company ENTAD. ENTAD, in turn, held 25.25% of listed KWIN. Follow that ownership loop through a billion-pound market value, a two-floor property gain, an abandoned take-private, an Assiut takeover, and nearly EGP 80 million of parent shares sold back into the market.

The filings establish the transactions and numerical coincidences. They do not establish fraud, money laundering, or a pump-and-dump.

Daily EGX / Thndr research

Signals before they

Skill № 1 — mobile apps

Five apps.
Five excuses to learn.

Not five successes — five shipped. That's the number I can prove. Each one taught me something the last one couldn't.

Lyora app icon ● Live

Lyora

A beauty marketplace made for Egypt

Clients, beauty artists, and salons in one place — discovery, booking, and trust — priced in EGP and in Arabic too. It's the one I'm building right now, still becoming itself.

Currently learning "almost ready" holds a surprising amount of work.

Vitore app icon ● Live

Vitore

AI meal planner & nutrition tracker

Your AI nutritionist plans the week, builds the grocery list, and counts the macros — without turning lunch into a spreadsheet.

Taught me personalization only helps when it removes decisions.

Barbary Tracks app icon ● Live

Barbary Tracks

Plans, progress & PRs

A workout tracker for people who came to train, not manage an account. Everything stays on your phone. No signup.

2otbo5ly app icon ● Live

2otbo5ly

TikTok to table.

Home-chef food delivery for Egypt. Paste a TikTok, get the meal — attention turned into an actual order.

Taught me a marketplace is mostly trust wearing a UI.

ChaosCtrl app icon ◐ Daily use

ChaosCtrl

Only what matters reaches you.

An AI filter for my attention — email, messages, reminders. I use it every day. You'll get it when it's ready.

Whatever I figure out building this stuff, I write up and leave here — free to use, no guru stuff. Mobile apps, shipping to the stores, AI, content, design. New ones land as I go.

The audit trail

How I got here.

Not an origin myth — just a few things that shaped how I work. The apps came late. The habit of showing up didn't.

  1. 2019

    Ranked 21st nationwide

Egypt's STEM high-school diploma. First proof that numbers are clearer than identities.

  2. 2021

AUC — engineering + data science

Computer engineering, double major in data science, honors. Liked building systems; got curious why people use them.

  3. 2023

Internships — Nokia & AI labs

IP/MPLS networks at Nokia; an OCR + LLM pipeline for historical documents at the AUC library lab.

  4. 2024

    Led 250+ peer leaders

Chaired the First-Year Experience program. Learned that scale is a communication problem before it's an operations one.

  5. 2025

    First app live

Shipped my first app to the App Store. The counter finally moved off zero.

  6. 2026

Five apps · Head of Content @ YOZO

Five shipped, one day job, and a powerlifting captaincy with two gold medals on the side.
